Applications are invited by Manonmaniam Sundaranar University (MSU), for admission to Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) Course commencing in the session April 2019.
The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Programme of MSU aims at developing the understanding and competencies required by practicing teachers for effective teaching-learning process at the secondary stage.

Duration of the Course: The minimum duration of the programme at MSU is Two years. However, the maximum period allowed for completion of the programme will be four years.

Admission: Admission in B.Ed at MSU shall be done by the candidate will be required to submit the filled-in application form with attested copy of documents as specified in Entrance-cum-Admission Form
MSU B.Ed admission Eligibility:
i. Educational qualification: In-service teachers with a Bachelor’s degree in Tamil/ English/ Mathematics/ Physics/ Chemistry/ Botany/ Zoology/ History/ Geography/ Computer Science or a Post- Graduate degree in Economics/ Commerce/ Home Science.
ii. Teaching Experience At least 2 years of teaching experience serving in Schools in Tamil Nadu (Nursery /Primary / Secondary / Higher Secondary/ Matriculation Schools) recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu / Government of India alone are eligible to apply.
How to apply in B.Ed at MSU:
i. Candidates should go through the prospectus carefully before filling in the application form. Application should be filled in by the candidate’s own hand writing in English only.
ii. Passport size photo should be affixed in the application form duly attested by a Gazetted officer
iii. Name of the candidate and the address to which communication to be sent should be stated in capital letters. Residential address should be given for communication.
iv. No column of the application should be left bank.
v. The fee must be remitted through State Bank of India Power Jyothi Scheme, A/c. No 32723644765.
vi. Admission will be given subject to the eligibility of the candidate.

The envelope should be superscripted as “Application for Admission to B.Ed.”.
2. The following photo copies of Certificates attested by a Gazetted Officer should be sent along with the filled in application.
a) Transfer Certificate/ Migration Certificate/ Evidence for Date of Birth.
b) 10th and 12th Mark Statements
c) Undergraduate Mark Statements with Provisional Certificate / Degree Certificate.
d) Post graduate Mark Statements with Provisional Certificate / Degree Certificate (For Economics ,Commerce & Home Science)
e) Community Certificate / Card of Tamilnadu.
Admission Procedure: The University will send call letters to all provisionally selected candidates for B.Ed Admission and allotment of Study Centers will be made through Pre-Admission Counselling. Counselling will be conducted at Manonmaniam Sundaranar University Campus. Those who do not report themselves on the day of the Pre-Admission Counselling session Will forfeit their claim for a seat.
MSU B.Ed Entrance Test: Admission will be done based on the score obtained by the candidate in the Entrance Examination conducted by the M.S.U only.
The Entrance Test will be held on Nov, 2016 Hall tickets will be provided to the candidates before 10 days of the Entrance Test. In case of non-receipt of Hall Tickets 3 days before the date of Entrance Test.
