Applications are invited by Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), for admission to Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) Course commencing in the session April 2022.
The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Programme of KSOU aims at developing the understanding and competencies required by practicing teachers for effective teaching-learning process at the secondary stage.

Duration of the Course: The minimum duration of the programme at KSOU is Two years. However, the maximum period allowed for completion of the programme will be four years.
Admission: Admission in B.Ed at KSOU shall be done by the candidate will be required to submit the filled-in application form with attested copy of documents as specified in Entrance-cum-Admission Form.
KSOU B.Ed admission Eligibility:
- B.A/B.Sc or M.A/M.Sc Degree holders of any recognized University or Deemed University.
- Working as full time teacher at any level in a recognized educational institution at the time of applying for the Programme. (Honorary/Part-time teachers are not eligible).
- Provided, he/she has completed two years of service, provided he/she continues to work in a recognized Institution at any level (like Primary School, High School, etc.,) even at the time of admission if selected. He/She must produce a Service Certificate to that effect from the Head of the Institution where he/She is working.
How to apply in B.Ed at KSOU:
- Exam related fee shall be paid only through SBM/SBI Bank using the Challan provided by KSOU. Students should write their Name, Roll Number, and Programme/Course & Regulation in the Challan. The students residing in Other States may obtain D.D in favor of The Finance Officer, KSOU, Manasagangotri, payable at Mysore in any branch of any Nationalized Banks. Students are required to mention their Name and Address, Course, Study Centre opted on the reverse of DD and enclose along with filled in application form. Examination fee once paid will not be refunded or adjusted to the next examination under any circumstance.
KSOU B.Ed Entrance Test: An entrance exam would be conducted by the University during the month of November/December based on chosen school subjects and subjects studied by the student at degree level. Entrance Examination will be held at Bangalore, Mysore, Dharwad and Gulbarga. Annual Examination will be held at Mysore.
The Entrance Test will be held on Nov, 2016 Hall tickets will be provided to the candidates before 10 days of the Entrance Test. In case of non-receipt of Hall Tickets 3 days before the date of Entrance Test.
